# Traveler Privacy Policy

> Traveler processes only the information needed to provide accounts, personal travel histories, optional automatic country detection, trip collaboration, subscriptions, notifications, and support. Traveler does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

## Operator

Traveler is operated by bonyxdd, an independent developer based in the Czech Republic. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@trytraveler.com.

## Data Traveler processes

Traveler may process account information, authentication identifiers, profile information, settings, visited countries and cities, trip dates, notes, ratings, photos, airports, flights, companions, friend connections, invitations, feedback, push tokens, and subscription information. When automatic tracking is enabled, device location is used to determine entry into another country. Traveler stores the detected country and trip, not precise coordinates.

## Pre-launch waitlist

If a user joins the waitlist before launch, Traveler processes the submitted email address, consent time, and consent-text version. This information is used with the user's consent to send the launch announcement and occasional product updates. Consent can be withdrawn at any time through support@trytraveler.com. The email and consent record are kept until consent is withdrawn or they are no longer needed for launch updates. A limited record may be retained where needed to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations.

## Contacts and collaboration

Contact discovery is optional. With permission, Traveler sends up to 250 normalized email addresses solely to find matching registered users. It does not request contact names, phone numbers, or the rest of the address book. Friend codes can be used instead. Other users receive information only through features the user intentionally enables, such as shared trips, invitations, and optional country notifications.

## Service providers

Traveler uses Firebase for authentication, Convex for application data and file storage, RevenueCat and applicable app stores for purchases, and Expo for push notifications. Weather and flight providers receive only the details needed for a request. Apple Maps or Google Maps receives a place only when the user chooses to open it there.

## Retention, security, and rights

Account and journey data is kept while the account exists, subject to limited legal, security, dispute, and backup retention. Users can delete individual content or their account. Traveler uses authentication, access controls, and encrypted network connections. Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing.

Traveler is not intended for children under 16. The complete and authoritative policy is available at https://trytraveler.com/privacy.
